    • Abstract:
      The purpose of studying the spiritual molding process of becoming a medical practitioner was to understand the meanings, attributes, conditions, and experiences regarding becoming a medical practitioner with spiritualty. The research methodology was conducted based on the phenomenological and qualitative research. The seven key informants from experienced medical practitioners were purposively selected for the study. They included a group of medical practitioners who received medical awards, outstanding doctor of rural medicine award from the faculty of medicine Siriraj hospital, outstanding Rural Medical Award from Kanokasak Pool Kasor and the Medical Council Doctor's Awards between 2007 to 2015. The research results were as follows: first, there were two meanings of spiritual medical practitioner, including the following 1) focused on internal attributes, and 2) focused on external attributes. Second, the attributes of spiritual medical practitioner consisted of academic characteristics and life-style. Third, the conditions of being a spiritual medical practitioner were derived from knowledge, ability, mindset, behavior and social support. Fourth, the experience of spiritual medical practitioners gained from life experience before becoming a doctor and while practicing medicine, Fifth, the process of molding a spiritual medical practitioner consisted of growing love stage, from the real thing to the imagination stage, the intentions to reach the path to becoming a doctor stage, the training stage, and making work achievements to in the service area.
