Neuropsychological assessment of a patient with a history of use of γ-hydroxybutyrate (GHB). (English)

Drug use in Europe has remained steady in recent years. Although substances such as cocaine, heroin, and especially cannabis, are among the most popular substances among users, new synthetic substances are a growing problem (only 24 new substances were identified in 2008). Several of the synthetic substances used by today's users are derived from pharmaceuticals, including γ-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), which is of interest because it is associated with a particular spectrum of neurological decline effects. The purpose of this study is to show cognitive deficits in a patient with a history of GHB use. The case of a young 26-year-old man who was examined by the dependency service of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, interconnected during his hospitalization at the pathology clinic of the general hospital AHEPA. Η ρξήζε λαξθσηηθψλ ζηελ Δπξψπε παξακέλεη ζηαζεξή ηα ηειεπηαία ρξφληα. Αλ θαη νπζίεο φπσο ε θνθαΐλε, ε εξσίλε, θαη θπξίσο ε θάλλαβε, απνηεινχλ ηηο δεκνθηιέζηεξεο νπζίεο κεηαμχ ησλ ρξεζηψλ, νη λέεο ζπλζεηηθέο νπζίεο απνηεινχλ έλα νινέλα δηνγθνχκελν πξφβιεκα(κφλν ην έηνο 2008 εληνπίζηεθαλ 24 λέεο νπζίεο). Αξθεηέο απφ ηηο ζπλζεηηθέο νπζίεο πνπ ρξεζηκνπνηνχληαη απφ ηνπο ρξήζηεο ζήκεξα πξνέξρνληαη απφ θαξκαθεπηηθά πξντφληα, κεηαμχ απηψλ ην γ- πδξνμπβνπηπξηθφ άιαο (GHB) ην νπνίν παξνπζηάδεη ελδηαθέξνλ, δηφηη ζπλδέεηαη κε έλα ηδηαίηεξν θάζκα απνηειεζκάησλ λεπξνγλσζηαθήο έθπησζεο. Ο ζθνπφο ηεο παξνχζαο κειέηεο είλαη λα δείμεη ηα ειιείκκαηα γλσζηηθψλ ηθαλνηήησλ ζε αζζελή κε ηζηνξηθφ ρξήζεο GHB. Παξνπζηάδεηαη ε πεξίπησζε λεαξνχ άλδξα 26 εηψλ ν νπνίνο εμεηάζηεθε δηαζπλδεηηθά απφ ηελ ππεξεζία εμαξηήζεσλ ηεο Γ΄ ςπρηαηξηθήο θιηληθήο ηνπ ΑΠΘ, θαηά ηε λνζειεία ηνπ ζηελ παζνινγηθή θιηληθή ηνπ γεληθνχ λνζνθνκείνπ ΑΥΔΠΑ.
