Liberal or restricted fluid resuscitation in critical illness: Shifting the needle back towards equipoise.

The article explores the administration of intravenous fluids in the emergency room. Particular focus is given to how the an infusion of a bolus of isotonic crystalloid is a universal first line of treatment.
