      The article discusses the Canadian independent booksellers including Ella Minnow Children's Bookstore, Glad Day Bookstore and Queen Books which have formed a steering committee to work on the creation of a new, nationwide booksellers association. It states that the original Canadian Booksellers Association which was founded in 1952 has experienced financial troubles that led to its absorption into the Retail Council of Canada in 2015.
