      This article presents the journey of a Laurentian University engineering student Kaella Earle from being an Indigenous woman to achieving success in the engineering degree program. Topics include need for getting First Nations people into the sciences and executive boardrooms, her study of Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), and challenges faced by her for being an aboriginal.
