The article presents a study which showed that a child's ability to learn a second language is at its peak until the age of 18. Also cited are the study result showing that it is best to start learning a new language at age 10 to attain the grammatical fluency of a native speaker, the team of psychologist Steven Pinker and Joshua Hartshorne, who conducted the study, as well as the data collected like language proficiency and time studying English.
