- Abstract:
The article focuses on a renewed interest in Sudan as an investment destination. Topics discussed include a recent decision by the U.S. to lift a number of sanctions on Sudan, Saudi Arabia's investments in maritime transport in Sudan, and Qatar's new projects in Sudan, including its introduction of Qatar Mining Co. Also discussed is Sudan's relations with China, which currently controls as much as 75% of the Sudanese oil industry.
