The article discusses a disorder called dissociative fugue, a subtype of dissociative amnesia. It explores the association between dissociative amnesias and memory loss for traumatic experiences. Two main symptoms that distinguish a fugue from other dissociative disorders are identified. Also discussed is the association between dissociative amnesias and stress.
