    • Abstract:
The author reflects on the relationship between U.S. immigration policies and public health since 1924. Particular attention is given to the Immigration Acts of 1924, 1965, and 1996 as the author looks at discourse on the prevalence of disease in the U.S. allegedly originating from immigrants and population shifts. She goes on to criticize right wing populism and anti-immigration rhetoric as detrimental to all Americans.
