      The article features Orquidea Olvera, recipient of the 2018 Paralibrarians of the Year of the "Library Journal," sponsored by DEMCO, who runs the Early Literacy Mobile Outreach (ELM) of the Monterey County Free Libraries (MCFL) in California. Topics discussed include the Reading Safari van of the MCFL, Olvera's partnership with the Housing Authority for the County of Monterey and her background which encouraged her to keep to herself and stay close to home.
