- Alternate Title: Family and economy: an ethical-theological reflection. (English)
- Abstract: The reflection arises from the observation of financial phenomena produced, on a world scale, from the crisis that originated in United States in 2006. The Church's attention to these dynamics is demonstrated by the innumerable documents of the magisterium: from Rerum novarum (1891) to the days of Evangelii gaudium (2013) and Amoris laetitia (2016). That economy has moral relevance is demonstrated by the fact that two of the ten commandments are directed towards making true relations between men precisely in this area: do not steal and do not desire the stuff of your neighbor. Even the Gospel contains precise indications in this sense, which if believed and put into practice would open new horizons of prosperity to societies. The contribution wants to emphasize in its conclusive part that there can not be prosperous economy without true morality. But there can be no true moral without the redeeming work of Christ, the giver of grace and truth. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
