      The article discusses the role of good bacteria called probiotics in boosting the gut's support of the body's immune system in fighting infections and inflammation. Topics covered include bad bacteria's link to diarrhea and bowel problems, and probiotics' sources in supplements and fermented foods like yogurt, sauerkraut, and pickles which can be easily added to everyday meals. Also noted is information on such fermented fools as cheese, sourdough bread, and kefir.
