This article discusses the top three questions posed to the panel at the Network World Messaging and Spam Tour in the U.S. The first was how to educate users about spam. In this regard, the main difficulty appears to be how much interest users have in the spam problem and how good their computer skills are. The second question is concerned on how to filter out spam while minimizing false positives. To solve this, messages from known senders need to be managed in quarantine. The third question was how get the resources to attack the problem. The author recommends to start with a project with a review of how messaging systems are put together and how they are performing.
