This article describes how different approaches to religion (institutional and cultural) lead to startlingly different conclusions when analyzing how religion shapes the republican citizen. Through a genealogical discourse analysis, I examine educational reports issued by Argentinean authorities in the early twentieth century that made the Jew out to be a dangerous other, as well as the Gerchunoff’s account of the everyday life in Jewish colonies, to show how Jewish narratives intersected and assembled in the construction of the Argentinean republican citizen. In times when non-Western institutional religions are raising fears and anxiety in many Western countries, this article illustrates how a cultural historical approach to religion is essential for a comprehensive analysis of how religion shapes the republican citizen. Este artículo describe cómo diferentes enfoques en la religión (institucional y cultural) resultan en sorprendentes conclusiones diferentes al analizar cómo la religión moldea al ciudadano republicano. Mediante un análisis genealógico del discurso, analizo los informes educativos elaborados por las autoridades argentinas a principios del siglo XX que percibían a los judíos como personas peligrosas, así como también el relato de Gerchunoff de la vida diaria en colonias judías, para mostrar cómo se entrelazaron y unieron las narrativas judías en la construcción del ciudadano republicano argentino. En tiempos donde las religiones institucionales no occidentales generan miedo y ansiedad en muchos países occidentales, este artículo ilustra cómo un enfoque histórico cultural de la religión es fundamental para un análisis integral de cómo la religión moldea al ciudadano republicano. Cet article décrit comment les différentes approches (institutionnelles et culturelles) à la religion entraînent à des conclusions surprenantes quand on analyse comment la religion forme le citoyen républicain. À travers le discours généalogique, les rapports sur l'éducation émis par les autorités argentines au début du XXe siècle qui ont présenté le juif comme étant quelqu'un de dangereux, ainsi que la description de Gerchunoff de la vie quotidienne dans les colonies juives, pour démontrer comment des récits juifs se sont entrecroisés et assemblés pour le développement du citoyen républicain argentin. À une époque où les religions institutionnelles non occidentales suscitent des craintes et de l'anxiété dans de nombreux pays occidentaux , cet article illustre comment une approche culturelle historique vers la religion est essentielle pour une analyse sur comment la religion forme le citoyen républicain. В данной статье описывается, как разные подходы к религии (институциональный и культурологический) приводят к на удивление разным выводам при анализе влияния религии на формирование гражданина согласно республиканской модели гражданства. С помощью генеалогического дискурс-анализа автор исследует отчеты в области образования, изданные властями Аргентины в начале двадцатого века, которые рассматривали еврея в качестве субъекта опасности, а также публикации Герчуноффа с описанием повседневной жизни в еврейских поселениях, чтобы показать как пересекались и обобщались рассказы о евреях при формировании образа аргентинского гражданина согласно республиканской модели. Во времена, когда чуждые Западу организованные формы религии вселяют страх и беспокойство во многих западных странах, данная статья иллюстрирует важность культурологического исторического подхода к религии для всестороннего анализа ее влияния на формирование гражданина согласно республиканской модели. 本文阐述了在分析宗教如何塑造共和公民时，不同的宗教手段（制度和文化）是如何得出截然不同的结论的。 通过层层抽丝剥茧的谱系学论述分析，我查阅了二十世纪初期由阿根廷权威机构发布的将犹太人当作危险另类的教育报 告，以及 Gerchunoff 对犹太人定居地日常生活的介绍，以说明犹太教的叙述手法如何贯穿并融汇于阿根廷共和国公民 的建构中。在这个非西方制度性宗教在诸多西方国家不断产生恐惧和焦虑的时期，本文阐述了从历史文化的角度来看待宗教对于全 方位分析宗教如何塑造共和公民具有何等重要意义。 [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

يصف هذا المقال المقاربات المختلفة نحو الدين )المؤسسية والثقافية( والتي أدت إلى استنتاجات متباينة على نحو مذهل عند تحليل كيفية تشكيل الدين للمواطن الجمهوري .ومن خلال تحليل النص النسبي، قمت بالنظر في التقارير التعليمية الصادرة من قبل السلطات الأرجنتينية في أوائل القرن العشرين والتي جعلت من اليهود هم الآخر الخطير، كما قمت بالنظر في رواية جرتشونوف عن الحياة اليومية في المستعمرات اليهودية لإبراز تقاطع وتجميع الروايات اليهودية في إطار بناء المواطن الأرجنتيني الجمهوري .وفي الوقت الذي تثير فيه المؤسسات الدينية غير الغربية المخاوف والرعب في العديد من دول الغرب، يوضح هذا المقال كيف أن المقاربة التاريخية نحو التاريخ هي خطوة أساسية للحصول على تحليل متكامل لكيفية تشكيل الدين للمواطن الجمهوري.
