It states it aims to provide a webpage which has a global access to information about life on Earth integrating contents which are operated by six scientific organizations including Harvard University, the Marine Biological Laboratory, and the Smithsonian Institution and 1600 curators maintain quality. It mentions the project includes all forms of life covering many aspects including anatomy, natural history, and distribution.
