      Information on several issues discussed at the conference titled "New Encounters: Communities + Collections + Museums" held at the National Museum of Australia in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory from March 16 to 18, 2016 is presented. Topics include the tension between the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and institution, development for museums and communities, and repatriation movement.
