    • Abstract:
The entry of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology into network computing has great implications for business. Businesses affected by the onslaught of RFID include retailers and companies that sell products to the United States Department of Defense. The potential avalanche of valuable information that can be provided by RFID is expected to revolutionize the business sector in a way that can create a truly demand-driven supply chain. The major concern associated with RFID is the possibility of granular data overwhelming information technology departments. But ePC Group consulting firm official, Pete Abell, has claimed that the fear is baseless. Abell advises businesses to select the right RFID middleware to avoid potential risks associated with the technology.
