      The article discusses how tuberculosis (TB) control in the U.S. is affected by the fragmentation of responsibilities between state and federal governments as well as gaps in TB screening in state and federal regulations. It goes on to examine how future improvements will require states to use a more proactive approach against TB such as a risk-based screening policies as well as more federal funding to TB screening.
