      The article focuses need of laws for allowing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to protect people from toxic chemicals in cosmetics. Topics include FDA to ban lead acetate from hair dyes, suspected neurotoxin found in many hair products, regulation of cosmetic chemicals by FDA only if it has reliable information of the problem, and risky substances in cosmetics such as parabens, triclosan and phthalates, which are banned by FDA in 2016 in sops but still is used in other cosmetics.
