    • Abstract:
The article discusses studies indicating that the Zika virus can be used to treat glioblastoma. According to the article, exposing samples of glioblastoma tumors grown in a laboratory to the Zika virus destroyed the cancer stem cells, which are usually resistant to currently available treatment. The benefits and drawbacks of using unaltered Zika as well as a genetically modified version of the virus are also considered.
