      Discusses the feasibility of cooled transurethral microwave therapy (TUMT) for intractable chronic prostatitis. Utilization of TUMT in the trail involving patients with IIIB chronic prostatitis and chronic pelvic pain syndrome; Findings on the improvement of both symptom complexes with good durabilty in patients with a mixed picture of BHP and chronic prostatitis; Need for a larger trial to further evaluate the efficacy of TUMT as first-line treatment for chronic prostatitis.
