The article discusses the increasing prevalence of insufficient sleep and its consequences. Topics covered include evidence that insufficient sleep increases risk of obesity, a study which found that people who slept less than six hours a night were more likely to be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and a study which found that people who get less sleep have a higher risk of heart disease.
