    • Abstract:
In this article, the author presents his views favoring the restriction on importing copyright works in the U.S. The author feels that when an exclusive right is given for the sale of any work in the U.S., it should be predicated on the proposition that that work should be published here. To what extent that will advance the printing industry it is difficult to estimate, but it is only to such works as are published in the U.S. that the importation section applies. The author feels that American libraries ought to be as much concerned to advance the interests of American wage-earners as to buy books in foreign markets.
