ANALYSIS OF RISK FACTORS WITHIN SMES.

A general risk profile of small and medium enterprises active on manufacturing industry is difficult to depict due to the diversity of factors which influence the proper functioning of enterprises' processes. Therefore, the risk management model which is implemented in the organization is very important in terms of controlling the risk factors, either by mitigating their related consequences and/ or by preventing the aforementioned events. The complexity of “cause and effect” chains hinders risk reasoning, hence the organization requires adopting or developing a proactive risk management model which allows for risk evaluation and detraction, such as ISO 31000:2010 “Risk Management. Principles and guidelines”, SR BS 31100:2013 “Risk Management. Code of Practice and guidance for implementing the standard”, ISO 73 Guide “Management risk -Vocabulary-Guidelines for use in standard”.
