      The constant dialogue regarding the intersection of language and culture certifies in this study the interface with Cultural Studies as a contribution to the reexamination of fundamental concepts of the CLT - language as communication, learners as cultural mediators, the understanding of languaculture notion. The research ratifies the attempt to enlarge the taxonomy for the foreign language teaching field considering that investigations concerning ethnography of communication and transdisciplinarity encourage a more realistic teacher formation.       O reiterado diálogo a propósito da interseção de língua e cultura evidencia neste estudo a interface com os Estudos Culturais como contributo para o reexame de conceitos fundamentais no ensino comunicativo - a língua como meio de comunicação, aprendizes como mediadores culturais, o conceito "línguacultura" ("languaculture"). A pesquisa ratifica o empenho em expandir a constituição de taxonomia para o campo de ensino de línguas estrangeiras confiando que apreciações atinentes à etnografia da comunicação e à transdisciplinaridade aspirem uma formação de docentes mais realista.
