    • Abstract:
      The article presents biography of Aleksei Nikolaevich Kharuzin, a Russian anthropologist and ethnographer. After graduating from Moscow University in Russia, he entered government service. Several years prior to the revolution Kharuzin submitted his resignation due to disagreement with tsarist policy of the time and left government service. After the Revolution, Kharuzin worked in Tula Province in Guberniia at the Shatilov Experimental Agricultural Station, which he had helped to organize. He did research and wrote several books on small-scale fruit and vegetable farming.
