    • Abstract:
The article discusses the significance of typography of nineteenth century including letterpress, photoengraving and filmstrips in building graphical associations with the industrial print culture of twenty-first century. Topics discussed include analysis of typographic revivals of heritage letterpress fetishism which represents return of authentic handicraft and digital revivalism which focuses on digital design, revival of ornamented typography with semiotic plenitude and cultural dynamism instead of emptiness and stasis, and use of stereotypical formula for different purposes to document continuities in media culture.
