      An essay is presented in which the author reflects on airplane crashes and shark attacks. He comments on porpoising a landing during a solo flight in 2011 which bent his propeller and how he didn't realize at the time he'd bent his propeller. He mentions the view dolphins and porpoises drive off sharks and talks about several shark attacks in California and North Carolina. He talks about air plane crashes that killed Air Force pilots he knew and factors behind the crashes.
