      The article offers information on the Recycling and Economic Development Initiative of South Africa (Redisa) as an example of the creation of sustainable industries in 2016 According to Redisa director Stacey Davidson, Redisa has implemented successfully a circular economy in the tyre industry that has addressed socioeconomic needs and reduced the environmental impact of waste tyres. Davidson states that Redisa has made 226 businesses which support over 3,000 jobs.
