- Abstract:
The author reflects on the collaboration called One Health, encouraging partnerships between multiple disciplines to address human, animal and environmental health. He discusses the emergence of antibiotic resistance due to improper administration costing 20 billion U.S. dollars annually with Clostridium difficile, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis as examples. He also mentions the possible spread of Chagas' disease caused by Trypanosoma cruzi.
