The article presents a study that examined human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) risks in the multiplex crack-smoking and sexual network of incarcerated drug-using men who have sex with men (MSM) and their associates. Topics include an estimation between the network members' incarceration, self-reported HIV infection and trading sex for money. Also mentioned are a finding that longer incarceration being associated with self-reported HIV infection and a call for system-level HIV intervention.
