The article discusses Japan's participation in Africa's development, with reference to the Sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD VI) which will be held on August 27-28, 2016, in Nairobi, Kenya. Since 1993, TICAD has evolved into a major global forum for mobilizing and sustaining international support for Africa's development under the principles of African ownership. TICAD VI will have discussion on sustainable and stable economic development in Africa.
