- Abstract: The article presents the results of qualitative research on how couples in Taiwan maintain intercontinental long-distance relationships. Factors that result to physical separation in dating relationships are mentioned including educational or career goals, military service or deployment and immigration restrictions. Impact of distance on relationship, maintenance of long-distance relationship and reflections on long-distance dating are explored.
