      In this paper, the new collection configuration in the era of electronic journals was evaluated. As a preliminary step toward evaluating the collection configuration, we focused on Open Access Journals. First, a bibliometrical analysis of subscriptions to electronic journals was performed to obtain an overview of the current state of Open Access Journals. The survey utilized the 2012 edition of the Journal Citation Reports, Science Citation Index Expanded. Medical field, Compared with natural sciences and social sciences, the percentage of Open Access Journals in medical fields was relatively high.
