      The article discusses the threats to the preparation of ports in the U.S. East Coast such as Port of New York-New Jersey that will ensure the entrance of neo-Panamax ships coming from the new locks of Panama Canal. Threats discussed include the raising of the Bayonne Bridge air draft located between the Staten Island of New York and New Jersey, and the result of the study by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regarding the capacity of Arthur Kill turning basin to handle neo-Panamax ships.
