It is noted that President Woodrow Wilson on May 9,1914 signed the first congressional resolution to call upon all citizens to display the national flag in honor of American mothers on the second Sunday in May. It is stated that Anna Jarvis, organized the first official Mother's Day services on May 10,1908, to celebrate honor of her own mother, Ann Reeves Jarvis.
