The article discusses the highlights of the 2nd International Workshop on Obesity and Environmental Contaminants held on October 8-9, 2015 in Uppsala, Sweden, where discussions centered on the contribution of environmental contaminants to the global obesity epidemic. Topics discussed during the event include growing evidence pointing on the role of environmental factors on development of obesity and the health effects of obesity like developing lipid disturbances and high blood pressure.
