      The article discusses the Design Research Society's (DRS) Seventh Biennial International Conference, titled DRS2014: Design's Big Debates, which was held in Umeå, Sweden, from June 16th through June 19, 2014. Particular focus is given to how academic paper peer reviews and presentations are at the core of DRS conferences. Various speakers at the event are also profiled including Marco Steinberg, Anne Burdick and Lin Lin Chen.
