Poverty is a current problem whose effects spill over the entire world and cause vicissitude to all the people under it. Fighting poverty requires humanitarian considerations, social justice and economic efficiency reasons. The importance of this paper is the fact that we approached the poverty on a theoretical perspective, referring to doctrinal aspects of poverty developments and its features, but also reports on poverty in Romania compared with the Member States.
