      This article presents information on the book "Political economics in retrospect: Essays in memory of Adolph Lowe," edited by Harald Hagemann and Heinz D. Kurz. This book is comprised with sixteen papers concerning Adolph Lowe, Alvin Johnson Professor Emeritus of Economics of the New School for Social Research, New York, New York. These papers discuss Lowe's approach to political economy and contributions in literary works dealing with the economy in traverse and with problems of balancing freedom and order in context to economy and society. The book, on a whole, reportedly is Lowe's biography with illustrating various economic theories of growth and business cycles provided by him. It also discusses various economic models, value and distribution system for economic orders, and structural economic changes.
