      The article features the Explore Chicago Collections, a consortium of 21 institutions located throughout Chicago, Illinois that have decided to pool resources to provide a richer perspective of the city's history. Topics discussed include the success of an collaboration that produced a cartography exhibition and the decision of archives and libraries to provide digitized photographs, maps, and scanned documents to online visitors. The use of the site in classroom teaching is mentioned.
