      The article presents information on invention of electric bulb by Thomas Adison and his strategy of self-promotion. Edison had laid out eight miles of underground wire across a square half-mile and placed electric bulbs around his invention factory at Menlo Park, New Jersey. The factory was near to rail track and train passengers could see the spectacular show of light in his fields. On the eve of Christmas he bedazzled everyone by spectacular show of light. Just under two years later Edison had a central generating station humming away in downtown New York. Since then trend has begin in the U.S. to light Christmas trees with electric bulbs.
