      The article discusses the lawful efforts by employers in the U.S. to help employees with major depression or bipolar disorder maintain their productivity on the job as of early November 2015. Also cited are the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which protects people with said condition from job discrimination, as well as the comments by the federal Job Accommodation Network's (JAN) Beth Loy and ADA legal consultant William Goren on the issue.
