In the field of Neurolinguistics, in general, and aphasiology and bilingualism, in particular, selective and paradoxical recovery patterns represent a point of inflection in the organization of two languages in the brain. A selective pattern of recovery towards the L2 (or a paradoxical sub-pattern) involves the loss of the L1 (native or most used language) in a subject, representing an aspect to consider when the diagnosis of these patients is made, so a therapy aimed at favoring the two languages is recommended. This paper reviews the cases of selective recovery towards the L2 and briefly describes the two existing models in relation to the cerebral topography of a L1 and L2, affecting the participation of subcortical structures, a common network or the possible involvement of the right hemisphere. En el ámbito de la neurolingüística, en general, y de la afasiología y el bilingüismo, en particular, los patrones de recuperación selectivo y paradójico representan un punto de inflexión sobre la organización de dos lenguas en el cerebro. Un patrón de recuperación selectivo hacia la L2 (o un subpatrón paradójico) implica la pérdida de la L1 (la lengua materna o de mayor uso) en un sujeto, representando un aspecto a tener en cuenta cuando se realiza el diagnóstico de estos pacientes y se recomienda una terapia dirigida a favorecer las dos lenguas. El artículo repasa los casos de recuperación selectiva hacia la L2 y describe brevemente los dos modelos existentes en relación con la topografía cerebral de una L1 y una L2, incidiendo en la participación de estructuras subcorticales, de una red común o de la posible implicación del hemisferio derecho. Dins l'àmbit de la neurolingüística, en general, i de l'afasiologia i el bilingüisme, en particular, els patrons de recuperació selectiu i paradoxal representen un punt d'inflexió sobre l'organització de les llengües en un individu bilingüe i sobre la localització de dues llengües en el cervell. Un patró de recuperació selectiu vers la L2 (o un sots-patró paradoxal) implica la pèrdua de la L1 (la llengua materna o de més ús) en un subjecte, sent un fet a tenir en compte quan es fa el diagnòstic d'aquests pacients i una teràpia adient dirigida a afavorir les dues llengües. L'article fa un repàs dels casos de recuperació selectiva vers la L2 i descriu breument els dos models existents en relació amb la topografia cerebral d'una L1 i una L2, tot incidint en la participació d'estructures subcorticals, d'una xarxa comuna o de la possible implicació de l'hemisferi dret.
