A biography is provided of the American singer and songwriter Sananda Maitreya (Terence, or Terry, Trent D’Arby) heavily referencing an interview conducted with him. He was born in Manhattan, New York City, New York in 1962 and won the Golden Gloves boxing award when he was 17 years old. While living in a mansion on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, he suffered a nervous breakdown.
