    • Abstract:
The article discusses the findings of a study by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) which showed the health benefits of brief intervals of exercise for children. Researchers confirmed that children who did three minutes of moderate to intense physical activity in between long periods of sedentary activity showed lower levels of blood glucose and insulin. Brief periods of exercise can help children clear sugar from their bloodstream and prevent the onset of diabetes or obesity.
