    • Abstract:
This text discusses the influence of the informal networks in which politicians act on the functioning of the political system. The author illustrates this influence by the representative example of the Union Club and its role in the establishment of social networks of the Bulgarian political elite. She concludes that membership in this club was part of their symbolic capital and was a sign that they belonged to "the same club". [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
