Special Focus: Coastal Blue Carbon.

The article discusses the implementation of coastal blue carbon projects to deal the challenges of climate change. An overview on the policy and management approaches to decrease greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions involving financial incentives such as carbon financing to strengthen conservation and encourage emission reduction. It also emphasizes the benefits of salt marsh, mangrove and other tidal wetland habitats to the ecosystem services such as wildlife and water quality improvement.
