      The author reflects on the development of nursing scholarship and research. According to the author, following the transfer of nursing education into the higher education, the retrospective reflection on the development of nursing research sector has subsequently been criticized. He added that nursing research always has a strong bias towards what they have termed as clinical or practice based research.
