      A reprint of an interview with Portuguese filmmaker Manoel de Oliveira which was conducted in Paris, France, in April 1991 and appeared in issue 14 of the 1991-1992 periodical "Chimères" is presented. De Oliveira talks about time and its relationship to cinema, French philosopher Gilles Deleuze, his need to have a theory for each of his films, and his definition of the term historic. Additional topics include his motion pictures "La Divine Comédie," "Aniki-Bóbó," and "Acte du printemps."
